This walk is a good one for wet weather as the paths are nice and wide, mostly concrete & gravel, though being very flat, there may be large puddles and mushy grass in some sections after heavy rain. The path takes you away from the busy Princes Hwy & through the parkland surrounding this part of Toomuc Creek and includes wetlands and a walk over a bouncy suspension bridge.
From the carpark, walk through the footy grounds following the line of the main road and through the gate to the Toomuc Creek Linear Reserve. Then either follow the path to the right, where the off leash dog section is, or cross over the bridge and then follow that path to the right. The walk is a circuit so it doesn't matter which way you choose to start the walk.
Assuming you take the first path, follow it until you reach the wetlands then turn right, dogs must be on a leash again at this point. The footpath will take you around the wetlands then take the path to the left that cuts through them. There is a short dead end path to the right of this one which leads to a seat at the end, perfect for a rest and a chance to watch some of the water birds that love this area. Then back to the central path which follows back towards the suspensions bridge across the creek. Go over the bridge and turn left and this path will take you back to the first bridge at the beginning.
If you turn right after the bridge, the path will take you under the railway line and follows the creek on the other side, but there's no loop back to the carpark that way.
